2018 International Symposium on Economics and Social Science (ISESS 2018)

Welcome to the official website of 2018 International Symposium on Economics and Social Science (ISESS 2018). This conference is to be held at PremierHotel Tsubaki Sapporo, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, on January 30-February 1, 2018.  The main objective of ISESS is to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, practitioners, as well as industrial professionals from all over the world to present their research results and development activities in the fields of Economics and Social Science. This symposium provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration. Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts or full papers online through the conference management system. All submissions to the symposium will be reviewed by at least two independent peers for technical merit and content. It is anticipated that a broad range of research and applied topics will be covered during the symposium.

WONG Kin Ho Raymond

Chinese University of Hong Kong

Dr. Raymond Kin Ho Wong is a Senior Lecturer of the School of Accountancy at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr. Wong holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree, Master of Finance degree (double major in Financial Engineering and Risk Management), and Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Dr. Wong’s areas of expertise include international financial reporting and corporate finance etc.

Teiji Watanabe

Hokkaido University, Japan

Teiji Watanabe is a professor of the Faculty of Environmental Earth Science and the Graduate School of Environmental Science, Hokkaido University. Having a background in alpine geomorphology, he specializes in mountain geoecology, with interests in interaction of human-geo-ecosystems in high mountain areas, ecotourism, and natural resource management in protected areas. He has conducted extensive fieldwork in the Himalaya, the Pamir, the Alps, and Japanese mountains.

Invited Guests

Wen-Chen Hu

University of North Dakota, USA

Dr. Hu received a BE, an ME, an MS, and a PhD, all in Computer Science, from Tamkang University, Taiwan, the National Central University, Taiwan, the University of Iowa, Iowa City, and the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 1984, 1986, 1993, and 1998, respectively. He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. He was an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at the Auburn University, Alabama.

Meng-Lei I.C. Monica Hu

Jinwen University of Science and Technology, Taiwan

Dr. Meng-Lei I.C. Monica, Hu is the Professor of Department of Food and Beverage Management in Jinwen University of Science and Technology (JUST) in Taiwan. Prof. Hu is also the Dean of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management of JUST. She received her master degree from Florida International University and later completed her Ph.D. degree at National Taiwan Normal University. Her fields of interest include Creativity and Innovation, Green Diet, Psychology and Management of Food and Beverage, and Hospitality Specialist Education.
