2018 International Symposium on Economics and Social Science-Summer Session

Welcome to the official website of 2018 International Symposium on Economics and Social Science-Summer Session (ISESS-Summer 2018). This symposium will be held at the Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, on July 30 – August 1, 2018.  The main objective of ISESS-Summer 2018 is to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, practitioners, as well as industrial professionals from all over the world to present their research results and development activities in the fields of Economics and Social Science. This symposium provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration. Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts or full papers online through the conference management system. All submissions to the symposium will be reviewed by at least two independent peers for technical merit and content. It is anticipated that a broad range of research and applied topics will be covered during the symposium.

Hiroaki Shigemasu

Kochi University of Technology, Japan

Prof. Hiroaki Shigemasu received his PhD in psychology from the University of Tokyo. After he worked in Intelligent Modeling Laboratory at the University of Tokyo, and in Intelligent Sensing System Research Center at Toyohashi University of Technology, He is currently an associate professor in School of Information, Kochi University of Technology. His work has focused on investigating the mechanism of human perception and cognition using psychophysical and functional brain imaging methods and also virtual reality technology.

Byunghun Choi

Kongju National University, Korea

Dr. Byunghun Choi is a Professor at the business administration department of Kongju National University of Korea. Dr. Choi received his PhD degree in International Area Studies for China from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Korea and MBA in Management Strategy from Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, USA. His major research areas are international management, management strategy, and internalization of Chinese firms.

Prof. Osamu Yoshie is the dean of the gradate school of Information, Production and Systems at Waseda University. He acquired his Ph. D. in engineering at Waseda University and his research fields focuses on Community Computing, Virtual Community, Agent, Multi-player Interaction, eMaintenance, Consensus Building Process and Knowledge Logistics. Aside from his numerous publication concerning Informatics, Prof. Yoshie has also published many academics works in journals such as IEEJ Transactions on Electronics, Information and Systems, Optics Express, Journal of Network & Information Security and Journal of Japan e-Learning Association.

Maria Cristina Peixoto Matos

Prof. Maria Cristina Peixoto Matos received her Ph. D. and Master’s degree in Quantitative Methods at ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Portugal. She got her Licentiate degree in mathematics from University of Coimbra, Portugal. She is currently a Professor at the ESTGV – Instituto Politécnico de Viseu, Portugal. Her work has focused on investigating Game Theory and its applications to the different Sciences. She published academic works in numerous journals, such as Applied Mathematical Sciences, International Journal of Academic Research, International Journal of Business and Systems Research, International Journal of Latest Trends in Finance and Economics Sciences, Journal of Economics and Engineering, The Complex Networks of Economic Interactions: Essays in Agent-Based Economics and Econophysics.

Hiroshi Kubo

Hiroshi Kubo

Chiba Institute of Technology, Japan

Dr. Hiroshi Kubo received B.E. in ’77, M.E. in ‘79, D.E. in ’09, all from Nagoya Institute of Technology. He researched and developed magnetic recording media products ’79-’92, Optical disc products ’93-’06, and CIS Photovoltaic module ’07-’09 in FUJIFILM Corporation. In ’10, he moved to Chiba Institute of Technology as a professor of Faculty of Social Systems Science and Graduate School of Social Systems Science. His main fields of study are project management & program management for research & development, global strategy of manufacturing management, and environment management & engineering. Recently he is especially interested in development and industrialization of a new type of hydroponic solar sharing system.
