2018 International Conference on Education, Psychology, and Learning

2018 International Conference on Education, Psychology, and Learning (ICEPL 2018) is to be held at the Nagoya Congress Center, Nagoya, Japan. Scholars are encouraged to submit papers or abstracts on any aspect of education, psychology, and learning. All submissions will be under double-blind review for technical merit and content.

The main objective of ICEPL is to provide a platform for researchers, educators as well as related professionals from all over the world to present their research thoughts and achievements in education, psychology, and learning. This conference provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face, to establish educational or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration.

Professor Amran Ahmed

Universiti Malaysia Perlis

Dr. Amran Ahmed currently works at the Institute of Engineering Mathematics, Universiti Malaysia Perlis since 2014. Dr. Amran focuses research in Statistics, especially in Data Analysis, Total Quality Management, and Biostatistics. He got his Ph.D. degree from Hiroshima University, Japan in Medical Statistics and Master degree in Universiti Kebangsaan, Malaysia, and Bachelor degree (Mathematics) from Universiti Sains, Malaysia separately. He published several papers in the following journals including International Journal of Quality Engineering and Technology, Malaysian Journal of Public Health Medicine, and BMC Public Health International Journal of Software Engineering and its Applications.

Professor Nobutaka Odake

Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan

Dr. Nobutaka Odake is an Emeritus professor of department of architecture, civil engineering and industrial management engineering in Nagoya Institute of Technology. He graduates from department of Chemical Engineering, Tokyo University in 1974 and got Doctor of Engineering degree from Nagoya Institute of Technology late in 2002. Dr. Odake join several professional academic society, such as Japan Association for Management Systems, Japan MOT Society, Japan Society for Intellectual Production, Japan Society for Science Policy and Research Management, Japan Society for Production Management. He devoted himself in Education and Research. Especially in academy-industry cooperation, regional development, innovation system and technology management. Currently, he is in charge of “Workforce development for shop manager program” in Nagoya Institute of Technology. Dr. Odake published several papers in prestige journal such as Production Management, Standardization Studies, etc.

Professor Frances Lin


Tainan National University of the Arts, Taiwan

Frances Fengyi Lin is the professor of Department of Business Management in Taipei Tech. She was served as the Chairperson of Department of Cultural Vocation Development, Taipei Tech. during 2012 to 2016. She now also serves as Dean of College of Sound and Image Arts, Tainan National University of the Arts since 2017. Dr. Lin earned his Ph.D. in National Chiao Tung University. Her research expertise includes Cultural & Creative Business, Corporate Governance, Finance Management, Accounting Information systems. Her research papers have been published in several top journals including: Journal: Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance,Knowledge-Based System, Economic Modelling, Journal of Air Transport Management, Emerging Market Finance & Trade, Chiao Da Management Review, Economic Modeling, etc.

Setsunan University, Japan

Dr. Sadaya Kubo is a full-time faculty member in the Business Administration and Information Department, the Faculty of Business Administration of Setsunan University. His research interests are Safety system science, Social systems engineering, Safety system, and Informatics of the public sector. Dr. Kubo graduated from Business Administration and Information Department, Setsunan University, and got Master and PhD degree in Industrial Engineering from Osaka Institute of Technology. He served as a technical adviser assisting police in several cases of cybercrime for the Osaka Prefectural Police Department. Dr. Kubo published several distinguished papers in journals including Journal of Japan Industrial Management Association, Journal of Japan Association for Management Systems, and Journal of Business Administration and Information.

Professor Wu, Sou-Chin is the department chair of Marketing and distribution management at Chihlee University of Technology. His research interest includes Internet Marketing, On-line Consumer Behavior, and Customer Relationship Management. He published several papers in these areas in several prestige journals including Journal of Information Management, Management Review, Technovation, etc. Professor Wu has been served as a consultant of Institute of Information Industry and also acquired Customer Relationship Management Commodity Analyst Certificate.

We are pleased to announce a call for papers for the ICEPL 2018. Your manuscripts should include the title of the paper, the author(s)’ name, affiliation(s) and contact information. Please read through SUBMISSION GUIDELINES and make sure that your manuscripts are conform to the requirements of the guidelines.

About five to ten percent (5-10%) of accepted papers will be selected as distinguished Papers. The distinguished Papers list will be announced in conference program.

Publication Opportunity

All full papers accepted in the conference may be considered to be published in the International Journal of Cyber Society and Education (IJCSE). IJCSE applies a much more rigorous and lengthy review process, and it is more selective in the articles it publishes.

Submission Guidelines

I. Requirements for manuscript preparation

Code of Conduct:
Contributors must confirm that manuscripts are UNPUBLISHED and NOT under
review anywhere else.

Contributors MUST prepare their manuscripts in English. American or British style is acceptable, but contributors should use one consistently throughout.

Manuscript format:
Manuscripts should conform to APA (American Psychological Association) style. For more technical specification regarding citations and references, please refer to Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.

Please download manuscript template for full-paper or abstract to prepare your manuscripts. Contributors who fail to prepare manuscripts in accordance with our “Requirements for manuscript preparation” will be asked to revise and re-submit their manuscripts.

*We reserve the rights to make necessary adjustments to typesetting of manuscript to maintain the quality of proceedings.

Contributors are required to submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word. Manuscripts submitted in any format other than Microsoft Word will NOT be considered.

3. Submit your manuscripts.
4. If your submission is successful, you will receive a confirmation email with paper number.
5. If contributors have more than one manuscript to submit, please use “New Submission” to add other manuscripts.

Registration Deadline: February 20, 2018


1. Authors who fail to complete registration process, their manuscripts will not be included in the proceedings. Unpaid manuscripts will be treated as withdrawn.

2. If a paper is multi-authored and additional authors would like to attend the conference, each delegate is required to register and pay the registration fee.
3. The conference registration fee covers admission to all conference sessions, conference program booklet, conference proceedings in USB format, lunch and coffee breaks.
4. For those authors who have restrictions by their country on the transfer of fees to another country (either by bank or credit card), please contact the Registration Secretariat at to register and discuss the possibility of on-site payment.
5. Cancellation Policy for the Conference
All cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing to the Registration Secretariat ( For cancellations postmarked on or before 23:59 (GMT+8), February 20, 2018, 75% of the registration fee will be refunded. For cancellations after 23:59 (GMT+8), February 20, 2018, no fees will be refunded.

Refund policy

If the organizer cancels this event due to unpredictable disasters, unforeseen circumstances, and wars, you will receive a credit refund for 80% of the registration fee paid. Or you may use full credit for another conference organized by us within one year.

Guidelines for Presenters

The following guidelines will help you design and prepare your Presentation.

Oral Presenters:

  1. You are kindly expected to check the Conference Schedule and be clear about the exact date, time, and room of the session that you are presenting.
  2. Please be available in your designated room at least 10 minutes before your session.
  3. The time for each presentation is approximately 15-­20 minutes and will have another 3 minutes for questions and answers.
  4. Each meeting rooms is equipped with a projector and a laptop (Windows operating system with MS PowerPoint & Adobe Acrobat Reader). Make sure that your files are compatible with PowerPoint or PDF format. Use a USB flash drive to transfer your files to the laptop. You should copy your files to the laptop before your sessions.


Poster Presenters:

  1. Your poster should include (1) a title, (2) an abstract, and (3) authors’ names and affiliations.
  2. Limit the size of your poster within 160 cm (Height) × 60 cm (Width).
  3. Set up your poster 10 minutes before your poster session.
