2018 International Conference on Hospitality, Leisure, Sports, and Tourism – Summer Session

Welcome to the official website of 2018 International Conference on Hospitality, Leisure, Sports, and Tourism-Summer Session (HLST-Summer 2018). This conference is to be held at the Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, on July 30 – August 1, 2018. The main objective of HLST-Summer is to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, practitioners, as well as industrial professionals from all over the world to present their research results and development activities in the fields of hospitality, leisure, sports, and tourism. This conference provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face, to establish business or research relations and to find global partners for future collaboration. Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts or full papers online through the conference management system. All submissions to the conference will be reviewed by at least two independent peers for technical merit and content. It is anticipated that a broad range of research and applied topics will be covered during the conference.

Dr. Meng-Lei I.C. Monica, Hu is the Professor of Department of Food and Beverage Management in Jinwen University of Science and Technology (JUST) in Taiwan. Prof. Hu is also the Dean of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management of JUST. She received her master degree from Florida International University and later completed her Ph.D. degree at National Taiwan Normal University. Her fields of interest include Creativity and Innovation, Green Diet, Psychology and Management of Food and Beverage, and Hospitality Specialist Education.

Prof. Osamu Yoshie is the dean of the gradate school of Information, Production and Systems at Waseda University. He acquired his Ph. D. in engineering at Waseda University and his research fields focuses on Community Computing, Virtual Community, Agent, Multi-player Interaction, eMaintenance, Consensus Building Process and Knowledge Logistics. Aside from his numerous publication concerning Informatics, Prof. Yoshie has also published many academics works in journals such as IEEJ Transactions on Electronics, Information and Systems, Optics Express, Journal of Network & Information Security and Journal of Japan e-Learning Association.

Tomohiro Murata

Dr. Murata has over 20-year experiences of research and development of manufacturing information system in an industrial company including system design of discrete manufacturing system, supervisory sequence control programming system, dependable system design of dual copy data storage system, train operation scheduling system, B2B service system for e-trading, and information sharing system in PC manufacturing supply chain. His current research is conducted in cross-domain of information technology and production system and includes industrial informatics which focuses on development of new theory, methodology and architecture for design of flexible and dependable manufacturing systems, collaborative business process automation, product information management and so on. His research interest includes optimization using mathematical model, knowledge based reactive scheduling, production information modeling and information sharing, modeling, simulation of discrete event system and so on.

Hiroshi Kubo

Dr. Hiroshi Kubo received B.E. in ’77, M.E. in ‘79, D.E. in ’09, all from Nagoya Institute of Technology. He researched and developed magnetic recording media products ’79-’92, Optical disc products ’93-’06, and CIS Photovoltaic module ’07-’09 in FUJIFILM Corporation. In ’10, he moved to Chiba Institute of Technology as a professor of Faculty of Social Systems Science and Graduate School of Social Systems Science. His main fields of study are project management & program management for research & development, global strategy of manufacturing management, and environment management & engineering. Recently he is especially interested in development and industrialization of a new type of hydroponic solar sharing system.

Amran Ahmed

Amran Ahmed

Universiti Malaysia Perlis, Malaysia

 

Dr. Amran Ahmed currently works at the Institute of Engineering Mathematics, Universiti Malaysia Perlis since 2014. Dr. Amran focuses research in Statistics, especially in Data Analysis, Total Quality Management, and Biostatistics. He got his Ph.D. degree from Hiroshima University, Japan in Medical Statistics and Master degree in Universiti Kebangsaan, Malaysia, and Bachelor degree (Mathematics) from Universiti Sains, Malaysia separately. He published several papers in the following journals including International Journal of Quality Engineering and Technology, Malaysian Journal of Public Health Medicine, and BMC Public Health International Journal of Software Engineering and its Applications.
